Skincare Vs Haircare (The BIG Difference)

Hello!

I often get asked, “why is it that things that work well on the skin don’t achieve the same result on my hair?”

The reason is that our skin is alive; hair is dead. 

Skin regenerates. Hair doesn’t. 😳

And that’s why some would say that hair needs more ‘care’ to prevent damage. Here are some easy ways to care for hair….

Feed the scalp

Healthy hair starts at the scalp. A massage with natural hair oil is the perfect way to ‘feed’ irritated scalps from bleaching and dying, and dandruff-prone skin. 

Natural oils nourish and hydrate both your scalp and your hair, revive a flaky scalp and remove product build.PLUS scalp massage is believed to stimulate hair growth due to the circulation increase!

Skip the hot shower 

Hot water makes hair dry and brittle as it strips protective oils from your hair. Make friends (or tolerate) a lukewarm shower for healthier hair. 

Keep hair in balance 

Avoid scary sulphates (the chemicals found in dishwasher tablets) as they STRIP hair and scalp of natural oils which our hair needs to stay healthy and free from damage. 

Go deep 

Every few weeks, slather hair with natural oil all over your hair, wrap it in a towel or old T-shirt and leave it for 20 minutes. It will take a couple of washes to get the oil out of your hair but the result will be worth it. Hello, healthy shine!
